Angelos Distasay

Ripple Productions kicks off their season February 27 – March 15, 2009 with Angelos Distasay, The Angel Dimension, an original play written and directed by Producing Artistic Director, Thomas E. Goddard.

Angelos Distasay, The Angel Dimension asks the question: “Do Angels influence our world?”  Follow Jennifer Prescott, an average teenage girl who has a unique gift: she can see the angel dimension. The audience is invited to come see what Jenny sees and then decide for themselves about the angel dimension.

Jennifer is smart, pretty, and comes from a good family who raised her well. She’s an all around good girl. The story focuses on Malak and Dakmon, the two angels assigned to Jennifer. Both angels use their influence on Jennifer and those in her life.

These two angels work to fulfill their missions by interacting with each other and those within Jennifer’s world. They report their accomplishments and challenges to their commanders as they work to complete their respective missions. For one, the mission is simple - destroy everything about Jennifer’s world: her family, friends, relationships, and eventually her faith. The other is sent to protect Jennifer and those in harms way.

The downward spiral continues when Jennifer’s parents, John and Sarah seek the counsel and help of a psychiatrist, who diagnoses Jennifer with schizophrenia. The shocking news further alienates Jennifer from her family and friends who don’t believe that her experiences are real.

As Jennifer’s father develops health problems and her mother sinks into a deep depression she confronts both angels and demands to know their purpose for entering her life. As her world falls apart and her family crumbles Jennifer finally comes face to face with her destiny  and realizes the reality of the cross-dimensional conflict. However, all is not lost when the truth of a higher plan is finally revealed.
