The Great Commission

“Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Mathew 28: 18-20

This passage is the foundation of Disciple Support Ministries, teaching and equipping the peoples in Nirobi, Kenya biblical principles and truths. “The men and women in the slums of Nirobi are not only being taught the word of God, they are being equipped to take the word back to their churches and their tribes so that they may teach what they have learned.” Richard says “Pastors are rising up out of the tribes. How exciting that not only are we teaching, but we are preparing these Nationals to teach as well.”

Richard Chesbro, along with his wife Kathy, will be visiting in Chattanooga, February 11th through the 16th.  “We are coming with our vision and our passion for the people in the slums of Nirobi, Kenya.. Bringing awareness to what God is doing and asking Pastors and Churches to come along side us, lifting us up in prayer and support” With 44 tribes in Nirobi, 17 are represented in these schools. “My vision is to grow from the two schools we currently have, to seven more schools in the next 10 years.” Richard says “Teaching the word of God and giving these Nationals, in the slums of Nirobi, Kenya, the opportunity to become preachers and teachers of God’s word is what The Great Commission is all about.”

Richard and Kathy Chesbro are lining up opportunities now, to speak with churches, pastors and bible study groups while they are here. “As you read these words and the Holy Spirit is prompting, give us a call. We would love to meet with pastors one on one, Home Fellowships, bible study groups and other missions while we are in Chattanooga.” Richard says that within their limited time frame they want to meet with as many people as possible. “We are available Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and in-between.
